Getting started with StoryTrax:
MovieTrax
People watch movies for entertainment, but these powerful stories and images engage us and shape our values, attitudes, beliefs and worldview. The most powerful movies are ones that connect with our life experience, hopes and dreams. MovieTrax helps us to learn to organically weave conversations about movies, our lives, and to explore the themes and elements that can help us to connect deeply with God through the stories, poetry, proverbs, prophecies and exhortations of Scripture.
MovieTrax training begins with discussing five well-known movies that have played around the world, and which have themes that speak to issues of love, forgiveness, fear, sacrifice, disappointment, faithfulness, prejudice, suffering, evil, and much more. From that base, the training expands to multiple cinematic genres. In the end, trainees are prepared to facilitate conversations about any movie in ways that can bring about a life-changing discovery of the greatest story of all time: God’s message to humanity through Scripture.
